So maybe I’m a little late sharing the details of my New Years but what a New Years it was.
I am a spur of the moment – get on the plane – travel addict (as long as the bank account agrees).
My boyfriend – not so much. However, I was elated when he informed me that we would be following the Michigan State Football team to Pasadena to celebrate New Years.
Los Angeles for New Years? Please and thank you!
As planning began I reached out to friends who live in LA for guidance on NYE but was sadly informed that people from LA go to Vegas for NYE and the city just doesn’t have the draw that many others do for this grand year-end celebration. As I was given the task for that evening’s celebration, I was thrilled to find several options for Gatsby-themed parties. After a little convincing, I was able to convince my travel companions that Gatsby was the way to go!
Shade Hotel hosted a charity Gatsby night complete with blackjack tables, candy bar, and rooftop deck. I would definitely recommend this location with options for dancing, gambling with pretend money, relaxing under the stars and brining in the new year right!
I found a great hair tutorial that was really easy to complete. Unfortunately, it is nowhere to be found now on Pinterest, but with a few simple rolls and a large number of bobbypins, my hair held up nice throughout the entire evening!
We didn’t stay out too late since we had an early morning of football, but sealed off a great night at midnight with a kiss, Gatsby-style of course Old Chum!
